He was former Indian captain. He was one of the reason behind Indias success in past years. He set the foundation of Indian Cricket. He was known for his aggressive captaincy and as DADA. He was one of the stylish batsmans in cricket history. Early Life :

He was born in Calcutta, Bengal on 8 July 1972 and he was coming from one of the richest family in Bengal. His father was a Richest business in Bengal and ran a flourishing print business. Ganguly's nickname in childhood was Maharaj means Great King, and he had a royal and luxurious childhood. 
Generally in Bengal football was the favourite game, But Ganguly attracted to the cricket. But his mother Nirupa was not very supportive to taking ganguly his career as a cricket or any sport. But his brother supperts Ganguly as he also established player of Bengal Cricket Team. He asked his father to enroll Ganguly in Cricket Coaching Clubs. His brother Snehsish very supportive. 

Domestic Career :

David gower was favourite player of DADA. He loves to watch his videos. He was made captain of his school team St Xavier's after Scoring century against orissa U-15. He made his first class debut in 1989 for Bengal, And same year his brother was dropped from the state team. He had a fantastic Ranji Trophy Season in 1990-1991. That season earn him a call of national side.

International Career :

One Day Internationals (ODI's) Career :

After impressive performance of 1990-91 season, Ganguly picked for India's ODI squad against West Indies in 1992. He only scored Three runs in Debut match against West Indies. Immediately he was dropped from the team because of his arrogant behaviour or attitude. After omission from national team he again came back to domestic cricket and scored heavily in 1993-94 and 1994-95 season. He again selected for Indian National team for England tour after scoring 171 in Duleep Trophy in 1995-96 season.
In 1997 he scored his first century against Srilanka, He scored 113 in that match. In 2000 Ganguly named captain for team India. He took India in final under his captaincy twice in his career in ICC trophies. One is in 2000 ICC Knockout Trophy and other is ICC ODI Cricket word in 2003. His famous incident in ODI's, He took off his T-shirts after winning NatWest ODI series in England in 2002.

Test Career : 

In 1996 he debuted in Tests against England in Lords. Ganguly scored a century in his debut and become only third player to scored century in debut Test match. In Second match in Trent Bridge again he scored century and became Third player to Score Two centuries in First two innings of his career. In 2005  he was dropped from the team and his captaincy passed to Rahul Dravid. In 2006 he again made his comeback. However he retires from Cricket in 2008.

Indian Premier league (IPL) Career :

In 2008, first edition of IPL he was bought by Kolkata knight Riders. He played first two seasons IPL for Kolkata Knight Riders. Letter he removed from squad. In 2011 for Forth edition of IPL he was played for the Pune Warriors India. He played two seasons for Pune Warriors India.

Administration Career :

In 2015 He Became President Of Bengal Cricket Association. He hold this post till the October 2019. And in October 2019 he became President of the Board Of Control For Cricket In India (BCCI).

He played 100 Tests and 300 ODI's and became One of the Fourteen crickter to achieve that milestone.
