Limited Overs Cricket:

One-Day International (ODI):


ODI is a fast and innovative format of games. It started in 1971, And gained popularity after 1973's World Cup. ODI is a Limited Overs Cricket Match. It is 50-50 Overs Match for both sides. In ODI's white ball and colour clothes are used to play match. ODI's matches can be played in Day or in a Day-Night format 

Let's see how it plays.

Team X and Team Y are two teams. If Team X batted first, Then they have to set a target for Team Y in 50 overs or before they bowled out.
Team Y has to chase that target in 50 overs or before bowled out.
If Team Y chase that target they will win otherwise Team X win. If both Teams scored equal runs, then match will be tie.
If rain Interrupts the match Duckworth-Lewis-Stern (DLS) Method play the role in match.
DLS Method played main role when second team have to bat atleast 20 Overs to in ODI'S to produce Result, Otherwise match will be draw.

Basic Rules:

Toss before match.
There are 3 powerplay's in ODI's, Where fielders have some restrictions:
First powerplay of 1-10 overs, Where Two players allow to field outside of 30 yard circle.
Second powerplay of 11-40 overs, Where Four players allow to field outside of 30 yard circle.
Third powerplay of 41-50 overs, Where Five players allow to field outside of 30 yards circle.
Bowlers have restrictions and can bowled only upto 10 overs.

Twenty-20 (T-20) International Matches:




T-20 is the Most innovative and skillfull format. And shorter format to. In modern era T-20 matches sets it's benchmark as match finished in only Four hours. First Match was played in 2005 between Australia and New Zealand. In only it's first world cup T-20 gained an overwhelmed popularity. First world cup played in 2005 in South Africa. In T-20 white ball and colour clothes are used. Most of the T-20 matches played under the lights, But some matches played in evening as well. Match is 20-20 overs for each side. In T-20 Cricket Batsmans needs some extra hitting skills and bowlers needs some extra variations.

Let's see how it plays:

If Team X batted first, Then they will set target for Team Y. If Team Y chase that target they will win or else Team X wins the match.
If both Teams scored equal amount of runs, Then match will be Tied, And winner will be decide on Super Over (1 over eliminator). Both team played 1-1 overs each. Only 3 Batsmans allows to bat it 1 Bowler.
If super also Tie, Then winner will be decide on which Team hits more boundaries.
If rain Interrupts the match then match will be Draw or Play abandoned.
If rain Interrupts the match after 6 overs of second inning, Then result will be declared using Duckworth-Lewis-Stern (DLS) Method.

Basic Rules:

In T-20 First Six overs have fielding restrictions (Powerplay) Where 2 Fielders allow to field outside of 30 yard circle.
Bowlers have restrictions and can Bowled only upto 4 overs.
