One of the Main Equipment to play cricket is Cricket Ball. A cricket ball is Hard and solid Ball used to play cricket. There is to much development happen in cricket Bat over the Centuries,But other side Cricket ball doesn't modified as much other than colours(Red, White, Pink).

Journey Of Cricket Balls:

In past 17th,18th and till the middle of 19th centuries there is only one colour ball use in cricket, That is Red. In those Centuries Red ball ball uses for 5 Days Match as well as 1 Day match.
Now Red Ball uses for Test Cricket Match only. Red ball swings a lot in early innings and in middle overs it helps for spinners to spin the ball and fasters to Reverse swing the ball. For red ball Cricket cricketers use to wear White clothes only.
 But In 1977, The first evaluation of ball comes in Result as White Cricket Ball. For white ball Cricketers use coloured clothes. And these ball use to play One Day Matches and 20-20 Overs Cricket Match. After this evolution Cricket gains To much popularity.
After the white ball crickets huge success test cricket struggling a lot. For making test cricket interesting, Pink ball introduce in 2009 by MCC(Marylbone Cricket Club) as recommendation. To follow that Australia and England cricket start the experiment. Finally the experiment successful and Australia hosted the first Test match against New Zealand in 2015. This is marked as debut Day-Night Cricket match. Interesting is Pink ball introduces to play Day-Night Cricket match, As red ball is not able to visible in night.

Shape/Design:

 Core of cricket ball is made up from cork that provides bounce and weight to the ball. The ball covered with 2 leather layers and stitched with little raised seam that provides baller a grip over the ball. Ball used in cricket have 4 pieces, 2 each in one layer, Those layers are internally stitch. Cricket ball consist a 6 rows of stitch.

Cricket balls quality, Standard, Dimensions & Measurements details established by British Standard BS 5993.
Cricket balls weight must be 156-163 grams (5.5 oz to 5.75 oz), Circumference of must be 224-229 mm (8.81 to 9 inches). 

Manufacturing Companies:

There have 3 famous companies manufactured the cricket Balls Kookaburra, SG, Dukes. Most of counties have there own choice of Red ball use in Test cricket. In India BCCI love to use SG Cricket Balls, Windies and England cricket Boards uses a Dukes Cricket Balls, And other than them remaining all the Cricket Boards using a Kookaburra Cricket Balls like Australia, South Africa,New Zealand and etc.

Why Cricket Ball Is Underdog?

There always a huge demands for batsmans than ballers in cricket. Almost a every rule changes in cricket made a Cricket easy for batsmans. So know one noticed the efforts of Ballers in cricket now A days. In modern era of cricket everyone wants to be batsman or society also loves Batsmans more than a Ballers.
